"Munjya" Surprises With Impressive First Day Collection

"Munjya" starring Sharvari Wagh and Abhay Verma released this Friday to a great audience response.

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film is a horror-comedy set in Pune and the Konkan region.

On its first day, "Munjya" earned a surprising Rs 3.75 crore across India.

The film achieved an overall occupancy rate of 21.49% in the Hindi belt on its release day.

Occupancy during morning shows was around 10%, increasing to over 20% and 37% in evening and night shows respectively.

"Munjya" outperformed other releases like Manoj Bajpayee’s "Bhaiya Ji" and Rajkumar Rao-Janhvi Kapoor’s "Shrikant" in box office earnings.

Mona Singh plays a significant role in the film as a single mother to the character Bittu.

Sharvari Wagh’s performance in the film was praised by rumored boyfriend Sunny Kaushal on social media.
