Demetrius "Lil Meech" Flenory Jr. is Big Meech's real-life son, who even portrays his father on the Starz series BMF.

Big Meech was transferred to a halfway house on October 15, 2024, after serving 20 years in prison. He will remain there  until his full release on January 27, 2026.

Convicted in 2008, Big Meech co-founded the Black Mafia Family (BMF) with his brother, Terry, in 1985. They operated a drug trafficking and money laundering scheme across the U.S.

Lil Meech is not only an actor but also a rapper. He debuted in 2019 with the song "Bad Habits," featuring a phone call from his father.

In 2024, Big Meech’s sentence was reduced by 32 months, with his attorney Brittany K. Barnett citing his efforts to turn his life around.

While in prison, Big Meech completed his GED and was noted as an exemplary inmate, steering clear of trouble and excelling in classes.

The BMF organization initially started as a creative agency and Hip-Hop label, later expanding into a multi-million dollar illegal drug operation. The empire came to an end when DEA agents arrested over 100 co-conspirators.
