Kangana Ranaut Announces New Release Date for 'Emergency' Amidst Parliamentary Dutie

"Emergency," a period political drama starring Kangana Ranaut, will now release on September 6.

Originally scheduled for June 14, the film's release was postponed.

Kangana Ranaut not only stars in the film but also serves as its writer, director, and producer.

In "Emergency," Kangana Ranaut portrays former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

The film announcement coincided with Kangana Ranaut's new role as a BJP MP from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.

Ranaut cites William Shakespeare's 'Macbeth' as an inspiration for the thematic elements of the film.

The film boasts a cast that includes Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, and Milind Soman, among others.

"Emergency" is produced by Zee Studios and Manikarnika Films, with Renu Pitti co-producing.
