The much-anticipated film “Thug Life,” directed by Mani Ratnam and starring Kamal Haasan, Pankaj Tripathi, and Ali Fazal, is set to kick off its shooting schedule in Delhi. The team is gearing up for an intense 20-day shoot that promises to cover various iconic locations in the national capital.
According to insiders, Kamal Haasan will lead the shoot, joined by Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi, diving into a narrative described as an “epic tale of power, rebellion, and triumph.” This collaboration marks a significant reunion between Haasan and Ratnam, who last worked together on the cult classic “Nayakan” in 1987.
The filming will showcase Delhi’s diverse settings, including landmarks like the Red Fort and Qutub Minar, along with scenes set in schools and farmhouses, capturing the essence of the city in a comprehensive manner.
Despite the rising temperatures, the team is prepared to brave the weather, prioritizing daylight shots and minimizing night schedules to capture the best visuals. The project, initially titled “KH 234” and later renamed “Thug Life,” has been in the works since November 2022, with principal photography commencing in January this year across various locations, including Chennai.
“Thug Life” also features a star-studded cast, including Trisha, Abhirami, Nassar, Gautham Karthik, Joju George, and Aishwarya Lekshmi. The film’s music is helmed by Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman, adding another layer of anticipation to this ambitious project.
With Kamal Haasan’s recent involvement in films like “Bharateeyudu 2” and “Kalki 2898 AD,” fans are eagerly awaiting the release of “Thug Life,” which promises a gripping narrative and stellar performances from its ensemble cast.
